We have formed Mini Lodgers after many a horrific trip with two young children and their unbelievable amount of luggage!!!!! We have many times made the comment that you must be able to hire baby equipment rather than trying to cram everything into the car and then having to sit with your feet against the dashboard!! Planes no longer allow large amounts of luggage which does not help the parent who needs travel cots, buggies, car seats  and various other paraphernalia when travelling with babies in order to visit friends or family. So we decided to set up ourselves to try and help the difficulties of travelling with young children.

We pride ourselves in that we will not hire anything out which we would not be happy to put our own two children in. All the baby equipment we loan is checked and cleaned before each hire.

As for the Toy Library, having spent many evenings surrounded by large numbers of toys which our children have loved for a week and then lost interest in or have outgrown we decided that we would extend Mini Lodgers to hire out toys.  This is a service which we truly believe we would use.

We understand that parents are keen for their children to develop through play by gaining new skills by having regular access to different toys.  On the other hand, this can be very expensive if parents have to keep buying new toys for their children.  Now it is also unnecessary!
